Integrated Foreign Language and Content Education for Pedagogy Students

Summary

Introduction. Foreign language teacher training programmes in Latvia, as well as the contents of the subject English foreign language are based on the classical traditions, with consideration of the latest developments, especially of culture  influence on the language teaching / learning, methodology and benevolent environment creation for the students / learners at the beginning of the 21-st century. The discrepancies between the contents of the subject English foreign language (EFL) and the contemporary student/pupils' interests in Latvia greatly decrease the motivation of the students/pupils to learn the English language.
